Jerusalem, June 13 (EFE).- Israeli bombardment in the Gaza Strip caused at least 30 new deaths and more than 100 injuries, according to data from the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry this Thursday.
This brings the total death toll to 37,232, 70% of whom were women and children, the number of injured to 85,037, and 10,000 bodies still buried under the rubble.
In the past few hours, Israeli attacks on two houses in the Nusirat refugee camp (center) killed five Gazans and wounded 17 others, while Israeli forces used explosives to destroy buildings in the center of Rafah, Palestinian sources said.
The Palestinian Wafa agency reported that a civilian was killed in a drone strike against a civilian gathering near the Gaza Strip west of the city of the same name. In this area, aerial bombardment continues for the second consecutive day in the Zeitun neighborhood, Wafa condemned.
In Rafah, the southern tip of the Strip, where the army intensified attacks against its western flank earlier this Thursday, the land crossing with Egypt has been closed, preventing more than 11,000 Gazans with health problems from leaving the enclave to seek medical treatment.
According to data from the Hamas government yesterday, the situation for Gazan children is so dire that in these eight months, at least 33 have died as a result of hunger.
The Israeli military, for its part, said in a statement today that it had killed more than ten militants in central Gaza in the last day, “including one who participated in the October 7 massacre,” and destroyed more than 45 “targets.” All over the area, including military structures, fighters, rocket launchers and mines.EFE
