Andrade is defeated by CJ Perry in what is likely his final AEW match

In the hours before tonight the end of the world PPV, reports have emerged that the show taking place on Long Island could feature Andrade El Edolo's final match in AEW before returning to WWE. The news added to the mystery of the Mexican star's match with Miro.

Andrade was accompanied by his manager, Miro's wife, CJ Perry, for her first appearance since being released from hospital following surgery for a bad finger infection. It was a pivotal point early in the match when she tried to fire up her client, after her husband's attack at the bell allowed him to dominate the early bout.

Whether it was her motive or not (and we're not guessing it, since Perry spent as much time arguing with Miro as she did cheering on El Ídolo), Andrade fought his way back into the match. He even had The Redeemer about to eavesdrop… until CJ stepped in to break the hold.

Shortly thereafter, Andrade pressed Game Over.

There wasn't much progression in the story after that, and the camera didn't focus on Andrade. It seemed like a quick conclusion to his alliance with Perry, and it was very likely that he would run with Tony Khan's company.
