Elon Musk said the recent event announcing new models of artificial intelligence made him “upset.”
New Delhi:
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday took photos of OpenAI run by Sam Altman, saying a recent event announcing new AI models made him “upset.”
Author Ashley St. Clair posted on X that with OpenAI, humans can now let AI perceive reality in real time for them and “we may have just replaced the post-truth era with something much worse.”
Musk, a vocal critic of OpenAI, responded that “the company’s demo left me frustrated.”
“Can’t wait for the Grok (xAI) version of this demo,” commented one X user.
In March, the tech billionaire filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO Altman, alleging that they violated their original contractual agreements around AI.
OpenAI also responded to the lawsuit, saying that in order to advance the mission, “Musk wanted us to merge with Tesla or wanted complete control.”
Musk left OpenAI, believing the company would fail, according to Altman.
At a livestream event on Monday, developer ChatGPT unveiled GPT-4o — a new flagship model that offers GPT-4-level intelligence but is “much faster and improves its capabilities across text, voice, and vision.”
ChatGPT now also supports over 50 languages.
