Now that the GTA Trilogy is playable on Netflix, fans are shocked at how good the final version is on mobile devices.

Netflix shocked the gaming scene when reports broke that the streaming service would get its hands on Grand Theft Auto. The capacity wasn’t known until Netflix announced that the much-maligned GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition would be coming to the platform.

For those who don’t know, the Definitive Edition brings three GTA titles together – GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andres – with upgraded graphics, a reworked HUD, and more. However, its console version has been largely criticized by fans and gamers alike for a myriad of bugs and performance issues, leading players to demand a Cyberpunk 2077-style refund.

In a surprising turn of events, the final version is playing great on mobile devices via Netflix, and fans are completely shocked by this discovery.

GTA players compare versions of the Definitive Edition

Definitive Edition joined Netflix on December 14, giving mobile gamers a chance to play the said game, provided they have an account with the streaming platform.

Since its release, fans have been very vocal on social media, sharing their opinions, and they’ve been shockingly positive. Many of the threads, posts and screenshots share the same comments which looks great. When playing the final version on mobile devices, in-game settings provide a range of customizable features. For example, “Classic Lighting” restores the look and feel of the sky from the original titles. Rockstar has confirmed the existence of this feature When you launch the gameAnd some other improvements.

Many are hoping that the console/PC versions will get the same treatment, but with all eyes on GTA 6, it seems unlikely that Rockstar will turn around. However, there has been a random 60fps patch for Red Dead Redemption, so don’t rule it out just yet.
