If Jacob Elordi's “Saltburn” bathwater candles sell out, just blame his co-star Barry Keoghan.
“I already have 10 of them,” Keoghan joked to me Wednesday night at the opening of a Louis Vuitton pop-up store in West Hollywood. “They're all burning in my house now.”
At least we think he was joking.
The candle, available on Etsy for $27.91 and on Amazon for $36, is inspired by a scene in the movie “Saltburn” when Oliver (Keogan) chants and drinks the used bath water that Felix (Elordi) was masturbating to minutes earlier. The product description says: “There's nothing like the scent of a quality candle, especially when that scent is inspired by Jacob Elordi and what we imagine His Highness to smell like.”
The scent comes in three flavors: Vanilla, Cozy Spices, and Sea Breeze. The candle is sold by Side Hustle Vibes, which also offers Drake Bath Water, Harry Style Bath Water, and Eau De Timothée.
I spoke to Elordi about the graphic scene — one of many in the dark comedy — at the film's Los Angeles premiere in November. “I said, ‘Thank God, it’s mine,’” he said. “I was so proud. I was so proud of Barry consuming large amounts of food this way.
Meanwhile, Keoghan, who is up for a Golden Globe nod on Sunday for his work in “Saltburn,” was spotted at a Louis Vuitton event chatting with “Beef” star Steven Yeun as well as celebrity fashion designer Warren Alvey Baker.
The pop-up is dedicated to the first spring/summer 2024 collection, designed by men's creative director Pharrell Williams. The pop-up is located at Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard in a space formerly occupied by John Varvatos, and will be open until mid-March.
Guests also included Deacon Phillippe, Jaden Smith, Blake Gray, Cara Santana, Ian Dior, Tessa Brooks and Milo Manheim.
