Meta Introduces Paid Versions of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp

According to a company spokeswoman, Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus subscriptions will each cost $3.99 per month in the United States. WhatsApp Plus will be priced at $2.99 monthly.

Meta is also introducing paid plans for Meta AI, the company’s generative AI assistant integrated across its apps and devices. The chatbot’s basic subscription tier will cost $7.99 per month, while a premium version will be priced at $19.99 monthly.

The company did not immediately provide full details on what additional features subscribers will receive, though premium plans are expected to include enhanced AI capabilities, expanded customization options and priority access to new tools.
