Former Cincinnati Reds player Tom Browning has died, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. He was 62. The Boone County sheriff’s office was called to Browning’s home Monday at about 1:01 p.m. to a report of a man not breathing, and deputies found a man, identified as Browning, unresponsive on the couch inside the home. EMS attempted lifesaving measures but were unsuccessful, and Browning was pronounced dead at 1:13 PM. No foul play is suspected in connection with Browning’s death. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed his remains have been recovered and will release them to a funeral home of the family’s choosing. Browning is the only Reds pitcher to pitch a perfect game. The former Cincinnati Red threw MLB’s Twelfth Perfect Game in 1988, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 1-0 at Riverfront Stadium.
