BABYMONSTER will debut as a six-member group.

Following reports that Ahyeon would not be able to join the first BABYMONSTER lineup due to personal reasons, a source from YG Entertainment confirmed, “BABYMONSTER will debut as a six-member group with Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita. After careful discussion, it was decided that Ahyeon would prepare together.” [with BABYMONSTER]”I will focus on getting rest for now for health reasons.”

YG Entertainment has released a statement regarding BABYMONSTER’s first lineup.

On November 15, News1 reported that BABYMONSTER would be debuting as a six-member group and that Ahyun would not be able to join the lineup due to personal reasons. They also stated that although Ahyeon may join the group later, she will not be able to debut with them.

In response to the report, a source from YG Entertainment briefly commented, “We’ll tell you later.”

BABYMONSTER is the first girl group produced by YG Entertainment in about seven years Pink black. In May, it was announced that the first lineup of the multinational group would consist of Aheon, Haram, and Rura from Korea, Farita and Chikita from Thailand, and Ruka and Asa from Japan. She was scheduled to debut in September, but YG Entertainment postponed her debut by two months due to “careful attention in choosing the title song.”
