Woman dies after crushing prom outside London's O2 Academy Brixton - Deadline

On Saturday, a woman died and eight others were wounded in the attack Crush the party which took place Thursday outside London’s famous O2 Academy Brixton, police said today.

London resident Rebecca Icomelo, 33, was taken to hospital after a stampede occurred outside the venue, where the Nigerian singer take had to perform.

“Rebecca had her whole life ahead of her and on behalf of all Londoners I want to offer my condolences to her family, friends and loved ones at this very difficult time,” he said.

“My thoughts remain with everyone affected by this horrific incident. It is imperative that the investigation into what happened concludes as quickly as possible.”

Asaki said he was “overwhelmed” by Icomelo’s death.

“My sincerest condolences to her loved ones at this time. Let’s put her family in our prayers please. I have spoken to them and will continue to do so,” he wrote on Instagram.
