Announcing Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition for PC and PlayStation 5

Sony has announced Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition for PlayStation 5 next month and PC early next year. This edition of Aloy’s latest adventure includes the base game and Burning Shores DLC, plus a selection of extras.

On PlayStation 5, the full version will launch on October 6 at a price of $60 / €60 / JPY 7,980. I assume this would convert to around £55 here in the UK, but I’ve emailed Sony to ask for clarification.

The full release will then be available to PC players via steam And Legendary Games Store Sometime in early 2024. This release is being handled by Nixxes Software, which was also responsible for this year’s release of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart for PC.

Here’s a small trailer for Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition.

In the PS5 version, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition will include:

  • Horizon Forbidden West for PS5
  • Burning Shores DLC for PS5
  • Digital soundtrack
  • Digital art book
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Vol. 1: Sunhawk Digital Comic Book (available in English, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese)
  • In-Game Items: Photo Mode Extras (Special Pose and Face Paint)
  • In-game items unlocked through story progression: Carja Behemoth Elite Outfit, Carja Behemoth Short Bow, Nora Thunder Elite Outfit, Nora Thunder Sling, Apex Clawstrider Auto Strike Piece, and Resource Pack

As for the future of the series, Guerrilla confirmed earlier this year that she “will be at Horizon for a long time.” This will include Netflix’s upcoming installment, its new project focusing on online co-op, and a third game focusing on Aloy. Additionally, the studio is also rumored to be working on a Zero Dawn remake.
