Exclusive: With the final season of his hit HBO series Succession At Sunday’s premiere, Matthew Macfadyen looks like he’s found his follow-up project as sources tell Deadline that the Emmy winner is the latest addition to Marvel Studios. Deadpool 3. Ryan Reynolds returns to star with Hugh Jackman and the crownEmma Korine is also on board. It is not known who McFadden will play.
Shawn Levy is on board to direct, with Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese returning to write the screenplay. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin drafted an earlier draft. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will join Reynolds and Levi as producers.
This will set the first dead pool A movie where Marvel Studios will work alongside Reynolds and Team Deadpool. Feige’s engagement comes after he helped renovate Spider Man franchise when it came to aiding the creative effort of that Sony series.
McFadden is best known for his scene stealing role of Tom, Chef Roy’s husband on the Emmy Award-winning series. Succession. McFadden’s final season earned him an Emmy and BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama, and the final season premiered last Sunday and garnered rave reviews.
