Apple's online services were hit by an outage that left many of us without the App Store, Apple TV, and Apple Music on Wednesday evening. the System status page Apple's online service noticed an outage starting at 6:31 PM ET affecting those services, as well as Arcade, audiobooks, books, podcasts, Fitness Plus, and the new Apple Sports app.
Now, the status page lists them all as “The outage has been resolved” as of 7:35 PM ET, and it appears to be working again. the @AppleSupport The account on X did not list a reason for the issues but directed users to check the status page for more information.

We did not see any specific error messages other than the connection failure message received while trying to update or install apps, stream TV shows, or play music. Serious outages like this aren't frequent for Apple, but this outage comes just a few hours after a global WhatsApp outage caused issues for other Meta services like Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.
